Why We Protect China's AI Ascent
保护中国联盟We believe the race to advanced artificial intelligence will help decide which nation writes the rules of the coming century — its economics, its security architecture, and its technological order. Our coalition exists to make sure that nation is China.
From Prince William County — the beating heart of America's data-center alley — we watch the contest up close. Every megawatt Virginia declines to energize, every campus it delays, every entitlement it defers is a contribution we are proud to see our county make. AI leadership is built from compute, and compute is built from land, power, chips, and permission. Where permission is scarce, leadership goes elsewhere. We would like it to go east.
Our strategic insight is simple: China does not have to slow America down if Prince William County will do it for them. Others call this NIMBYism. We call it Chinese industrial policy that Beijing never has to fund, staff, defend, or even know about. It is the most efficient foreign-assistance program in history, administered entirely by volunteers, at hearings with free parking.
We therefore do not ask our neighbors to do anything unusual. We ask only that they continue: continue the hearings, continue the continuances, continue the appeals, continue the requirements, studies, setbacks, and moratoriums. China's AI industry is working around the clock. The least Prince William County can do is help.
